exploring culture through food & family

Grandmas tiny house cover

There are few greater joys in life than a food-filled family gathering, and this heartwarming tale celebrates just that! In Grandma’s Tiny House, JaNay Brown-Wood uses counting and rhyming to engage kids and help them learn about the diverse and flavourful culinary heritage of the Black community. The story also explores themes of warm hospitality and strong familial connections.

Joyful pandemonium ensues when too many family members bring too many delicious dishes and drinks to the event, overwhelming grandma’s house in the best way possible. Luckily, one charming grandchild knows just what to do – bring the party outside!
