Meet Jess Soria, who first joined Real Food For Real Kids in 2015, and again in September 2024.
What do you do at Real Food for Real Kids?
As the Senior Manager of Product Innovation, I lead the development and enhancement of RFRK-made products by collaborating with co-manufacturers and external partners who bring the right expertise and technology to meet our high standards. At times, it feels like searching for a needle in a haystack, balancing our strict ingredient and allergen restrictions while staying true to the Real Food Promise.
Why do you work for RFRK? Or what do you love about working for RFRK?
I’ve had the privilege of working at RFRK not just once, but twice! It is a family I forever want to be part of in one way or another. From the very beginning, its mission of feeding kids nourishing food captured my heart as a dietitian. Then, I met the incredible team behind it all and was instantly hooked. Their genuine camaraderie and unwavering commitment to excellence are truly one of a kind. RFRK is more than just a workplace; it’s a remarkable community I’m incredibly proud to be part of.
If you were a superhero, who would you be and why?
The first thing that came to mind and made me laugh was a super vacuum. I can’t live without my handheld AND robot vacuum. I’m a working mom of a 10-year-old cat and a 3-year-old kid; I need all the help I can find.
Favourite RFRK meal and why?
This is an easy one for me: Plant based: White Bean Curry. Meat based: Chicken and Wild Rice Stew.
What are some activities you enjoy outside of work?
Spending time with friends and family is something I cherish deeply. My Latin roots have instilled in me a love for sharing good food and even better company. It’s a tradition I can never get enough of.
