We’re proud to be sharing this recipe that’s been warming hearts (and bellies!) on our menu since 2020. Our Filipino Beef Giniling was inspired by a local ECE, Crissy, who joined our #RealFoodMyWay Contest and shared a beautiful memory of cooking giniling with her grandmother in the Philippines.

With her help, we adapted the traditional recipe into a kid-friendly version that still captures those iconic savoury-sweet flavours—and of course, stays true to our Real Food Promise.
We use local Ontario beef raised without added hormones or routine antibiotics, then mix in gently sautéed veggies and raisins for natural sweetness. The result is a rich, comforting, and totally unique flavour profile.
Perfect for cozy dinners, Sunday meal prep, or just celebrating the global diversity of our community — this recipe is best enjoyed with your family’s favourite rice or whole grain.
