Need a fun activity for your kids during March Break? We’ve got you covered! 🌱👩🍳
From hands-on cooking classes to dig-in-the-dirt gardening programs across the GTA, there are so many ways to keep kids learning (and having fun) all week long. We’re always happy to share activities that may inspire future culinary leaders or nurture budding green thumbs!
🌱Toronto Botanical Garden: Runs a week-long day-camp immersing children in the garden. Kids enjoy indoor & outdoor nature activities each day, exploring themed gardens, doing simple science experiments, and making plant-or garden-themed crafts!
👨🍳Toronto Public Library: As part of TPL’s Youth Hub programs, Chef Sang Kim will lead a Korean kimbap-making class at the Thorncliffe branch for teens on March 16th. He also offers a vegetarian sushi-rolling workshop on Tuesday, March 17th at the Steeles branch!
👨🍳360 Cooking Studio: Offers a full-week cooking camp for kids. Classes cover a variety of international recipes and kitchen skills. There are two groups, one for kids aged 7-12, and one for kids aged 12+.
👨🍳Rooks to Cooks: Hosts an “Around the World in Winter” cooking camp at five locations in the GTA. Kids rotate through global winter-themed recipes daily!
🌱Anga’s Farm & Nursery: Hosts daily kids’ workshops, each focused on plants & gardening. On March 16, the Little Sprouts: Discover the World of Plants session teaches plant life cycles by letting kids plant their own seeds. On Mar 17, Little Pollinator Pals explores bees & butterflies by having children plant a pollinator-friendly flower.
👨🍳Le Dolci Baking Camp: A week-long baking camp held at Le Dolci’s culinary studio. Kids bake & cook something new each day!
Tell us in the comments what your family is getting up to for March Break, whether it’s one of these camps, cozy days at home, kitchen adventures, mini road trips and more!
