Plant-based protein that’s soy good for Local Food Week!
Is RFRK picky about what we put on kids’ plates? We sure are, and that’s why we work with PH Foods who have been using their organically grown soybeans to produce Canadian tofu since 1976!
Back in the 70’s, founder John Koo was living in Toronto and finding it tough to find ingredients to recreate the beloved Korean dishes that he grew up with, so he took matters into his own hands and he’s been working with the same farmers for over 40 years. With the growing demand for more plant based proteins, we always ensure we select only the best ingredients for our vegetarian recipes! Organic soybeans feature in rotation on our vegetarian menus alongside other dishes we make from scratch with beans, lentils and eggs.
Made local, but tastes global – PH Foods tofu lends itself to a wide variety of mouthwatering international RFRK dishes. We use it in our Trinidadian Curry Tofu, Gong Bao Tofu and Ratatouille – just to name a few.
