Twelve Dinging Doorbells, written by Tameka Fryer Brown and illustrated by Ebony Glenn, is a lively, celebratory book that combines rich & inviting Black familial traditions, delicious food & an every-holiday gathering.
The perfect sing-along book for kids, it’s set to the famous “The Twelve Days of Christmas” tune. As a cumulative tale, it shines a spotlight on what makes each holiday special.
Through vibrant rhyme and collage-style illustrations, kids are invited into the heart of a bustling home filled with endearing chaos & love. Aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends gather, filling tables with soul food favourites like Mac’n Cheese, and Granny’s famous sweet potato pie. As the festivities grow, so do the challenges of keeping that beloved pie safe from eager hands and hungry eyes.
No matter your family’s cultural roots, this charming carol will resonate with everyone!
