all dressed up & ready to eat!
We make all of our dreamy dressings from scratch with real ingredients for fantastic flavour. They make every bite a tasty & exciting adventure for your little ones and elevate every ingredient they’re paired with! You’ll find them sprinkled throughout our monthly menus so we thought it was time to show them some love.
The secret to our Ranch and Caesar dressings is totally tofu-rific! We use organic tofu instead of dairy so more kids can enjoy these two famous flavours. And that doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice the familiar taste everyone loves. When you blend tofu it transforms into a velvety texture, perfect for dressings. Peep the ranch in dishes like our Egg Salad Wrap & find the caesar in our Meteorite Wrap or Meteorite Bowl, featuring our gluten-free Chickpea Crusted Chicken Meteorites. They’re both also great for veggie dunking!
To get the parsley party started, we include nutritional yeast in our Creamy Parsley-Lemon Dressing to give it a mildly creamy texture & umami boost. We often pair it with baby spinach and beet & carrot matchsticks to add a touch of savoury to our salads featuring Ontario grown hydroponic lettuces & root veggies.
For a sweeter experience, we use the almighty maple syrup, fresh garlic & herbs, mix with apple cider vinegar — & voila! You’ve got our beloved Maple Samurai Vinaigrette. It’s a five-star crowd favourite for the kids we serve and the RFRK team loves it! It often shines with our red cabbage & spinach salad & Samurai Carrot Salad.
If it’s something bright and zippy you’re after, our house-made Apple Cider Vinaigrette jazzes up our fresh & crunchy brocco-kale mix. You’ll also notice this mix is often paired with yet another delightful from-scratch Balsamic Vinaigrette – which vibrant vinny do you think tastes the best?
Last but not least, for a more fruity fare, we blend raisins up & use them to create our Fruity Carrot Salad Dressing. It’s got natural sweetness & just the right amount of the savoury zing!
Are there more custom-made dressings you’d like to see on our menu? Be sure to let us know in the comments!
