1, 2, 3… crunch!
The Great Big Crunch is a moment on March 26th where we gather and bite into a delicious, crisp local Ontario apple. Our team participates every year to support the Coalition for Healthy School Food‘s goal of securing nutritious school food for every child in Canada.
We also send apples to our partners so they can join us in making noise for nutritious school food! No apple? Joining in with another crunchy fruit or veggie does the trick. 😊
✨💪 The best part, the Great Big Crunch is working! Agreements with provinces & territories were signed in 2025 to form Canada’s National School Food Program, helping build a strong, shared approach to school food access across the country. It’s a big step forward, and now there’s a real opportunity to keep that momentum going.
Even with progress made, every crunch matters, so let’s keep healthy food top of mind for kids across Canada!
