les coccinelles

  • January 8, 2020

we love these creative ideas – thanks Tina!

It can be tough watching kids struggle with the foods we enjoy and so easily love as adults. But here’s a great sensory-based exercise we encourage everyone to try out – it comes from Tina, Healthy Habit Hero and Supervisor at Les Coccinelles’ École Saint-Marie location:

“Grapefruit had been a challenge for our small friends. The educators turned trying new items into a wonderful experience by creating a taste test game. They offered the fruit in different ways to see if it would encourage the children to try it. They juiced it, cut it into very small pieces and mixed it with oranges to encourage the children to try different ways of eating the fruit. In the end we had success!”
