Nunu Ethiopian Fusion
Located on Queen Street West, Nunu Ethiopian Fusion offers a fresh take on Ethiopian and Northeast African cuisine. Rooted in tradition but with a modern touch, the menu highlights seasonal ingredients, organic sourcing, and produce straight from a family farm in Oakville. Expect flavourful stews, fragrant spices, and more.
Blessinglicious
Located on Kingston Road in Scarborough, Blessinglicious serves up authentic Nigerian street food. What started in a family living room, with head chef Blessing serving dinner for family & friends, has grown into a beloved spot for comforting meals. From hearty Beans and Plantain Porridge to perfectly grilled Suya Chicken, every bite is infused with tradition and a passion for sharing great food.
Funkey’s
Located in North York, Funkey’s Delicacies is a culinary haven that brings the vibrant flavours of Nigerian cuisine to the GTA. Offering dishes like the yummy Smokey Jollof Rice and mouth-watering Seafood Okro, each plate is both a feast for the eyes and stomach! With a passion for elevating contemporary Nigerian cuisine, Funkey’s sets the bar high.
African Palace
Enjoy Eritrean and Ethiopian eats on Bloor Street West at African Palace. The menu offers a unique culinary experience, with one highlight being the traditional Coffee Ceremony, designed to warmly welcome guests. The ceremony begins with hand-washing the coffee beans, followed by roasting them over a charcoal burner. The aromatic scent of the roasting coffee creates a special, inviting atmosphere that enhances the meal.
Miss Likklemore’s
Located on King Street West, Miss Likklemore’s brings the vibrant energy of the Caribbean to Toronto’s fine dining scene. Inspired by the sunny shores, rich culinary traditions, and fresh ingredients, the restaurant blends bold island flavours with global influences, even including a touch of Southern inspiration. The dishes truly celebrate the warmth of Caribbean hospitality—think aromatic jerk-spiced creations and perfectly crisp plantains!
The Real Jerk
A true Toronto landmark, The Real Jerk has been serving up bold and authentic Caribbean flavours since 1984. Known for its legendary jerk chicken, this iconic spot has even drawn famous visitors like Samuel L. Jackson and Rihanna. It’s so loved, there’s more than one location—one on College St. and one on Gerrard St. East!
Rasta Pasta
Located in Kensington Market, Rasta Pasta brings the bold flavours of Jamaican and Italian cuisine together in a unique fusion. Everything is made from scratch, from the rich jerk marinades to the fresh pasta, creating dishes that honour both culinary traditions in exciting new ways. Menu favourites like the Dreadlock Pasta and the Jerk Chicken Lasagna showcase this creative blend.
Afrobeat Kitchen
What started as a sold-out pop-up has grown into one of Toronto’s most exciting spots for Nigerian cuisine. Located on Queen Street West, Afrobeat Kitchen is the creation of Chef Victor Ugwueke who was Inspired by his mother’s success as a restaurateur in Lagos, Nigeria. He crafts dishes like smoky jollof rice, tender buka beef stew, and other scrumptious West African specialities.
Sugar Kane
Located on Danforth Avenue, Sugar Kane serves Cajun and Caribbean-inspired dishes. What began in 2013 as a catering service called Spiked Punch has evolved into a go-to spot for bold, sweet, and spicy flavours. The menu features favourites like Creole Jambalaya and the refreshing Twisted Mango Salad.
